statement of faith

WE BELIEVE THIS IS A MOVEMENT THAT REQUIRES THINKING BEYOND THE BOUNDARIES OF DENOMINATIONS. WE ARE A GATHERING OF PEOPLE FROM ALL DIRECTIONS LEARNING TO SHIFT OUR TRAJECTORY TOWARD A UNITED PURSUIT OF JESUS CHRIST.

“I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved them.”
 (Jesus’ prayer in John 17:23)

THIS MOVEMENT IS FOUNDED IN TWO BIBLICAL CALLS FOR BELIEVERS TO IMPACT THE WORLD AROUND THEM FOR THE GLORY OF GOD WITH THEIR LIVES AND NOT JUST THEIR WORDS.

Called to be a blessing!

"Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great so that you will be a blessing."
(Genesis 12:1-2)

Called to teach and train!

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you…"
(Matthew 28:19-20)

We believe

The BIBLE is God’s divine Word given for all people. It consists of 66 books that were written by the pen of human authors who were inspired by the Holy Spirit to reveal God and his perfect plan for humanity. Its truth is inerrant and completely relevant to our daily lives.

2 Timothy 3:16 | Romans 15:4 | Deuteronomy 4:1-2 | Matthew 5:17-18

GOD exists eternally and reveals Himself to us in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three, known as the Trinity, are co-equal and are one God.

Deuteronomy 6:4 | Isaiah 9:6 | John 1:1,14; 14:11; 16:13-15 | Matthew 28:19

JESUS, completely human and God while on Earth, was the Son of God born of virgin birth and sent to pay the ultimate price for our sins in his death. His resurrection demonstrated his divinity as well as his declaration that we might live a life of calling as we die to our sinful nature. His documented life in the Gospels demonstrates the loving heart of the Father and the direction and power of the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 7:14 | Matthew 1:18-23; 3:17; 16:16; 28:5-6 | Luke 24:46-47 | John 10:30; 11:25-27; 17:1-5

SALVATION is required as a result of SIN and offered through our personal acceptance of Jesus’ death on the cross for us. Salvation is not earned but a gift given by God through grace. We believe that Jesus is the only way to overcome the sin that separates us from a relationship with God.

Matthew 1:21 | Luke 2:28-32 | John 1:12; 3:16, 36 | Acts 2:21; 4:12; 16:30-31 | Romans 10:9

We are presented with a decision with ETERNAL implications. We will either exist forever separated from God because of sin or in union with Him through accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Free choice is a gift given to humanity to decide whether to be apart from God in Hell or with him in Heaven.

Matthew 8:12; 18:9; 25:41,46 | Mark 9:42-48 | John 3:16 | Romans 6:23 | 2 Thessalonians 1:9

The HOLY SPIRIT is the assurance of our salvation in Jesus Christ. He convicts our hearts of our sins, leads us into all understanding of the Word of God, and empowers us to live a life worthy of our calling. We believe the HOLY SPIRIT is imparted into us through our repentance and baptism to symbolize our death to sin and resurrection to life.

Isaiah 11:2 | John 14:26; 15:26; 16:7-14 | Acts 1:8; 2:38 | Romans 15:13

The CHURCH is a local community of baptized believers unified through their pursuit of Christ. It is committed to the teachings of the Word and making disciples in the observance of its truths. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of revealing and glorifying Christ.

Matthew 16:18-19 | Acts 2:42-47 | Romans 12:5 | Hebrews 10:24-25
